Test results of replacing the OE fitted FM600 centrifuge oil filter with the IOW Group MP600 centrifuge oil filter:
Sludge accumulated 3 times higher than the existing centrifuge.
3.5kg removed after 655 hours with 560 liters of new oil top-up.
Further 3kg removed in the following 186 hours, at greater than 16g/hr sludge removal.
Lube oil system cartridge filter life increased by up to 60% due to continuous cleaning of sump oil.
Asphaltenes present at between 0.39-0.48% wt. witch is half the 0.79% of sister's vessel.
