Sydney CPPC seminar (30 July 2020)
Alexander Millar (Stockholm): Novel axion detection ideas
In recent years axions have been revitalised as a dark matter candidate, with increasing effort to expand axion detection experiments across the entire model band. These efforts include both variations on traditional approaches, as well as completely new types of experiments. I will summarise some of the recent progress in the field, with particular emphasis on dielectric and plasma haloscopes, which aim to push axion detection to higher masses.
