The Birmingham, Alabama, Carraway Hospital has quite a story to tell. It all started back in 1910 when Charles N Carraway built the hospital. It quickly became an essential medical facility, serving the community with top-notch healthcare.
But as time went on, things took a turn. Financial troubles hit the hospital hard, making it challenging to keep the doors open. Eventually, the hospital had to close down, leaving behind an empty building with a rich history.
Now, here's where it gets interesting. With nobody around to take care of the place, the hospital was abandoned and forgotten. Over the years, nature started to reclaim the building, vines creeping up the walls and windows shattered. It became a prime spot for urban explorers like your favorite LockIsLive. Psst, that's where I come in.
In this video, we sneak in, armed with flashlights and cameras, to document the hospital's eerie and mysterious atmosphere. We wandered through the empty hallways and rooms, capturing the decay and imagining the stories that unfolded within those walls.
