Do you know how many conversations you need to have to make a sale?
Do you track how many people you talk to and at what level they are to see where you can improve?
I'm Tina Palmgren with Exceling Your Business and I want to talk a little bit about lead tracking today and hopefully showing you how you can have a spreadsheet that can track it so you can make better decisions and tweak different things in your calls. for different intro calls warm calls, cold calls, hot calls just to see where you are at and as you track it you can see the differences in the percentages of where you're doing well compared to where you may need to do some tweaks in your conversations. In what you're saying or even how you're looking at the person and making that eye contact using their words doing different things like that. This is a spreadsheet I'm going to share with you right now that does lead tracking let me blow this up a little bit so you can actually see it. Down here at the bottom you can make your spreadsheet bigger so this is one right now these are some i just put some numbers in here so if i want to have two new ideal clients this can be a week a month or whatever right now i would have to talk to 194 people to get two sales that seems like a lot so what we're going to do is actually track this information. Again let me blow this up here so you can see it. This is a blank spreadsheet and you just come in here and you would put in how many calls you take, how many people you talk to a day it doesn't matter which days. I don't work Saturday or Sunday typically so I'm just going to copy this form above for quickness sake here and put some in and then I'm going to say intro calls and I could do this um you know maybe i have three people that I talked to in an initial call that I actually talked to again and maybe warm I go down to two calls out of the three so that would be 75%. You're gonna see how this changes and then maybe one whoops 10 1 and 1 and then I'm just going to say how many I so how many are going to the next level so out of this one I'm going to say 15 this one I'm going to say 10 this one I'm going to say 3 and maybe two of them purchased so some of my percentages are different um and I'm just gonna again copy this for quickness sake you can come in and fill different obviously you would fill different numbers in here and I'm gonna come down here and say okay I had 15. I'm gonna leave these the same so ten three and two and what this is going to do is over here you're going to come over to the pivot table and right click and click refresh and this is going to fill in so these are my now my new percentages so I'm just going to copy these and I'm going to go back to my conversions tab and I'm going to right click and say paste special as values and it's going to change so you can see instead of 194 people that I needed to a minute ago, if I click undo it was 194 and now I can click redo it goes down to 25 people so you can see as you change what your close rate is the better.
