Trains Descending from the Sky｜另一種注目｜#鏡新聞

Hualien Port is eastern Taiwan’s most important shipping port. In addition to cement and paper pulp, since 2021, Taiwan Railway Corp. has spent NT$ 45 billion to buy the new EMU3000 train from Japan. Owing to the port’s proximity with railroad line and its professional loading and unloading facilities, train cars are unloaded at Hualien Port now.

Trains descending from the sky, has become Hualien’s most amazing sight, attracting lots of railfans when trains are unloaded. 50 shipments of the trains are scheduled in total, and this documentary captures the 48th shipment - an entire 48-hour cycle, carefully observing trains being unloaded, and record the stevedores’ lives and work.
