More than 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans. 🌊
The oceans provide a habitat, are an important part of the global climate system and are the basis of life and food for billions of people, even those living far from the coast. Every year World Ocean Day takes place on 8 June. It is a reminder of the ecological importance of the oceans and the dangers they face due to climate change, pollution and overfishing, and aims to raise public awareness of the threats to the oceans.
Climate analyst and photographer, Sebastian Copeland, has experienced these effects firsthand on his expeditions. He documents climate change using ZEISS camera lenses. His message is: let's join forces and work together for a sustainable future.
