Trump, FIFA President Infantino unveil Club World Cup trophy

U.S. President Donald Trump recently welcomed Gianni Infantino, the president of the world’s football governing body, also known by its acronym FIFA, to the White House where they unveiled the trophy for the FIFA Club World Cup tournament which will be held in the U.S. from June 14 – July 13, 2025.

The FIFA Club World Cup will witness participation from the best football teams across the world and have renowned players, including Real Madrid’s Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr and Argentine icon Lionel Messi, take to the pitch.

African teams, including South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, will also compete to be crowned the best club in the world.

Speaking during a joint press briefing with Trump, Infantino said over 200,000 jobs will be created in the U.S. amid preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
