The Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) is the rigorous first step toward becoming a U.S. Army Green Beret. This challenging program evaluates candidates on physical endurance, mental toughness, intelligence, and leadership skills. Over a series of demanding tests, including long ruck marches, land navigation, and teamwork exercises, only the most resilient soldiers move forward. SFAS is designed to ensure that only those with the highest levels of commitment and capability are selected for further Special Forces training.
