How to build an audience from scratch

One of the questions I get asked all the time is,

“How can I provide value to my audience if I don’t even have any results to speak of yet?”

And the answer is that you don’t have to have ‘results’ in your business yet to be able to provide value.

When I first got started online, all I did was share:

✔️something I learned that day that I thought might help someone else

✔️my vision for my business

✔️my story and background (why I was starting an online business)

✔️a tiny result I achieved that day (got my first lead, learned how to out a link in an email, etc).

✔️something about myself/my personal life that might be relatable to someone else (the fact that I’m a single mom or that I play the guitar).

All of these things are SO valuable to others who are just starting out.

Plus, it makes you super relatable when you share these things, because you are literally meeting people exactly where they are now with little tips and wins that can help them TODAY...

...unlike the ‘gurus’ who are so far ahead of where many people are today that they can’t help as much as you can.

This is all I did when I started and it helped me to build an audience online... and most of my audience members have stayed with me for YEARS.

The reason is because I’m still doing the same exact thing... so I’m still relatable and they are still following on my coat tails. 🙂

You only have to be one small step ahead of someone else to be valuable to them.

So go out and learn something new today that you can share and start building that audience. They will love you for it. ❤️
