International Women’s Day 2025 calls for gender parity

Women around the world are celebrating International Women's Day 2025 on Saturday March 8. This year’s theme is ‘Accelerate Action’ emphasizing the urgent need to advance gender parity. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Evelyn Dan Epelle, the CEO at the Institute for Governance and Economic Transformation, for more on how women are working across Africa to create greater gender equality.
