ESP32 on cheat mode - idea to working prototype in just 1 hour!

In this video I set myself the challenge of going from a conceptual idea to a functional prototype in the space of just one hour! With advances in AI and the ability of large language models to help with the coding, now is the time to try! You be the judge if you think I have succeeded or not?

I take a ‘Cheap Yellow Display’ which is basically an ESP32 combined with a touch screen and an Si5351 I2C clock generator and make a digital delay generator, complete with a cool looking user interface, touch control, and most importantly accurate clock signal and delay generation – Awesome!

The main point of the video is to demonstrate my workflow, I don’t go into details about how the delay generator works or why I need it to do what it does, I simply show the various steps needed to arrive at the end result in the shortest time possible. Hopefully, you can follow the same approach to maximize your efficiency in your future projects.

The display and clock generator were from AliExpress, pick them up here:

Si5351 I2C Clock Generator, 8KHz-160MHz, (5* 98 sold).

ESP32 WROOM – Cheap Yellow Display, (4.9* 3000 sold)

There are a few other components I highly recommend:

Seeed studio, ESP32 C3, 4.8*, 500+ sold.

Seeed studio, ESP32 C6 (new version with Zigbee), 4.9*, 1000+ sold:
