TRAILER: Passage to Pretoria – a Diamond Aircraft DA62 Ferry to South Africa

To fly a light aircraft the entire length (and more!) of the world’s second largest continent is no small feat – but this is exactly what our pilot Micke did in the summer of 2023, ferrying our DA62 demonstrator from Austria to Pretoria for display at the AERO South Africa airshow.

This trip's twist? The addition of co-pilot Luis – brand-new to the Diamond flight team at the time and on the journey for a hands-on initiation into the world of ferry flying under Micke’s mentorship.
