[AIIA 2023] Charging the future os Evs through the wheel

Design and optimization of a new solution that incorporates a wheel with wireless battery charging capabilities.This new solution follows the current trend of integrating the propulsion system into the wheels, leaving only the batteries in the vehicle itself. The in-Wheel concept uses two magnetic couplers, ORMC and IRMC, to transfer energy between the external side and the vehicle side. This way, the energy transfer capability is independent of the vehicle's ground clearance, a limitation of conventional IPT solutions.
