ADF | Land Autonomous Systems Teaming Demonstration

Australian Army is making strides towards using AI, robotics and autonomous systems alongside in service capabilities.

Today, 1st Armoured Regiment-Australian Army, the Army’s first full time experimentation unit, collaborated with sovereign Australian industry in the Land Autonomous Systems Teaming Demonstration (LAST-D).

LAST-D tested autonomous teaming with unmanned autonomous systems (UAS) conducting collaborative intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, AI enabled target recognition, target engagement and damage assessment. It also featured live-fire counter UAS against multiple UAS threats, use of optionally crewed combat vehicles and robotic enabled combat service support.

The day concluded two weeks of successful learning and experimentation!
