SP Learning Express (LeX+) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

In this video, we dive into LeX+ 2024, an extension of SP's Learning Express (LeX) programme, which empowers students to apply Design Thinking in real-world contexts. 🌍 In 2023, the LeX programme took us to Yogyakarta, where we collaborated with local communities to tackle challenges like waste management. Fast forward to October 2024, LeX+ builds on those initial ideas, turning concepts into impactful, real-world solutions. 💡

This year, we worked with local students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) to address two significant issues in local communities. In Srunggo II, we tackled goat waste management by designing an Automated Waste Separator to improve farm hygiene and compost production. 🐐 Meanwhile, in Kalidadap I, we helped reduce plastic waste with the Eco-Brick system — turning plastic waste into eco-friendly bricks for construction or sale. 🧱

LeX+ is part of a broader initiative at SP, where students from all disciplines can get involved in projects that make a positive impact globally.
