Watch: Record number of Olive Ridley turtles arrive to nest in Odisha | BBC News India

Hundreds of thousands of olive ridley turtles have arrived in Odisha’s Rushikulya Rookery for their annual nesting season. A rookery is a breeding space for turtles, sea birds and other marine animals. More than 640,000 turtles had been counted as of Friday, officials said, making this a record-breaking year. The endangered olive ridley is one of five species of marine turtles that mate and nest on India's shores.
