In this tutorial video, we'll look at how to create a "sticky" footer with CSS grid.
We'll create a grid container and define three grid rows for our header, main content area, and footer. We'll then give the container a min-height value of "100vh" to ensure that the footer remains at the bottom of the window, even with very little content on the page.
For a permanently "sticky" footer, we'll set the footer's position property to "fixed", with a bottom value of "0". This is not common behaviour on most websites, however, so the main layout explained using CSS grid is generally better practice.
