How To Fix Missing Wi-Fi Option in Windows 11
Are you unable to find the Wi-Fi option on your Windows 11 PC or laptop? Don’t worry, In this step-by-step tutorial, we’ll show you exactly how to fix the missing Wi-Fi option and restore your wireless connection in minutes.
Often, when your Wi-Fi option goes missing, it’s because the network device is disabled. Thankfully, it’s a fairly common problem and easy to fix with multiple solutions you can try to restore connectivity on your Windows computer. A quick restart is often all you need to get your Wi-Fi back. If you’re using a laptop, press the Sleep (Power) button once to put your device into sleep mode, then press the Power button again to wake it up and check if the Wi-Fi is restored.
Run the Internet Connection Troubleshooter:
1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
2. Open the System tab in the left pane.
3. In the right pane, scroll down and click Troubleshoot.
4. Under Options, click Other troubleshooters.
5. Click Run for Network and Internet. Windows will launch the troubleshooter and show the issues that Windows can troubleshoot.
6. Click Troubleshoot my connection to the Internet. The troubleshooter will scan the system for issues and recommend potential fixes. Apply the fixes and check for any improvements.
Enable the Wi-Fi Adapter in Network Connections:
1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
2. Type control and click OK to open the Control Panel. You can also search for the Control Panel in Windows search and open it from the search results.
3. In the Control Panel, go to Network and Internet / Network and Sharing Center.
4. Click Change adapter settings to view all the installed network devices in the left pane.
5. Right-click the Wi-Fi adapter and select Enabled.
Update the Network Adapter Drivers:
1. Press the Win key, type device manager and open it from the search results.
2. In the Device Manager, expand the Network adapters section.
3. Right-click on your Wi-Fi device. For example, Intel (R) Wi-Fi AX200 and select Update driver.
4. Select Search automatically for drivers. Windows will scan for new drivers and install them if available.
5. Close the Device Manager and check if the Wi-Fi option is restored.
