Microsoft’s (quiet) $20 BILLION conversational AI healthcare acquisition #shorts

Most of you don’t know this but Microsoft quietly acquired this conversational AI healthcare company for nearly $20 billion.

Nuance is a leader in conversational AI and ambient intelligence that’s focused on healthcare but also provides solutions in financial services, retail, and telecommunications. Its upcoming generative AI product called DAX Express combines its own AI models with OpenAI's to listen to doctor—patient conversations and generate medical notes within seconds.

Expanding beyond notes, Nuance could give diagnoses and order further tests and treatments on demand. On the consumer side, patients could also use an app to navigate a confusing web of medications, results, craft treatment plans, and schedule appointments.

We have Google Health, Apple with their health monitoring features in Apple Watch, Amazon Clinic, prescription pickup, and its $3.9 billion acquisition of One Medical, and now Microsoft diving into the multi-trillion healthcare industry.

Big tech is getting even bigger by the day.
