The Networking Lifecycle consists of three phases – Plan, Build, and Operate. Maintenance is a key aspect of the Operate phase. There is reactive maintenance – fixing what goes wrong after it goes wrong – but just as important is pre-emptive support – fixing it before it goes wrong.
