President Trump Impersonates Transgender Weightlifter | 10 News First

US President Donald Trump delivered a speech to graduating students at the University of Alabama on Thursday, during which he performed a bizarre impression of a transgender weightlifter.

The impersonation came as he used the speech to criticise the participation of transgender women in sport.

His comments come amid a growing wave of anti-trans hate sweeping the globe.

The English Football Association today banned transgender women from competing in the women’s competition.

The Alabama NAACP spoke out against Trump’s presence at the ceremony, saying his policies are hurting universities and students, particularly students of colour.
