NUH orthopaedic surgeon shares the advantages of robotic knee replacement surgery:
1) Various sensors register patient's anatomical landmarks before planning the bone cuts using propriety software
2) Robotic arm is used to execute the surgical plan and aids the surgeon in performing bone cuts with greater accuracy while protecting the soft tissues around the knee

Robotic knee systems can be used for mostly primary total knee replacements and partial knee replacements.
