LANCASTER, Calif., May 31 (KNN) – A sheriff’s department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) truck was en route to an incident at Avenue H-4 and Kingtree when it was stopped due to an unexpected situation Friday night.
A male adult accessed the top of the sheriff's SEB truck and then boldly leapt onto an arriving fire engine and was holding what appeared to be a shovel in his hands. Firefighters had arrived to assist in the situation and then detained the individual until the sheriff’s department took him into custody.
The original incident that first responders were heading to was reported at 8:35 p.m. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at Avenue H-4 and Kingtree Avenue.
Deputies found that the suspect had barricaded inside a residence, and the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) was called in to assist. That was when a currently unidentified man gained access to the top of the sheriff's SEB truck.
Further details are pending regarding that barricade incident.
