My experience lead screw vs rack and pinion

A beginning installation of racket pinion to my plasma cutting table. I will eventually get rack opinion on both the x-axis and y-axis but for now I only have the x-axis done I'm waiting for some aluminum to machine so that I can have everything ready to apply the y-axis.
