A weekend spent with old friends on a remote section of the Continental Divide Trail near the summit of Chief Joseph Pass, a section of the 3,100-mile artery bisecting the U.S. that straddles the border of Idaho and Montana

Without WI-FI or cell service, it felt as though our isolated high-alpine compound existed in a world that was almost normal again—one that offered a mental and physical reset from the noise that seemed far too loud since the pandemic paralyzed the world. The simplicity of early-morning missions and late-night campfires under crystal-clear skies was a much-needed cleanse for the soul.
