Without WI-FI or cell service, it felt as though our isolated high-alpine compound existed in a world that was almost normal again—one that offered a mental and physical reset from the noise that seemed far too loud since the pandemic paralyzed the world. The simplicity of early-morning missions and late-night campfires under crystal-clear skies was a much-needed cleanse for the soul.
