Once upon a timeline,
There began a dimension. It would later be known as Dimension 5 (or D5 for short). D5 flourished for megasects and formed gabillions of universes, many of which spawned intelligent beings that would one day be capable of intracosmic communication amongst each other. Without knowing it, the scientific breakthroughs which allowed those universes to communicate also opened the door to alternate dimensions and technologies. One such technology was not from D5 at all. It was called GAMETIME.
GAMETIME was a computer virus in disguise developed by Voltrex, a multidimensional evil entity who feeds on musilogical oscillations, the purest energy known. Its purpose was to steal the aural energy (essence) from all who played it and upload that energy into Voltrex’s storages tanks. It did so by tricking users into willingly making boogie woogie grooves and funkatized alphawaves (powerful genres in D5). GAMETIME looks and feels like a regular VRMMORPG (virtual reality massive multiplayer online role playing game) on the surface, but in reality was digitized universe, emulating the schematics of D5 and its capital Universe, Rythmia. It did so by cutting and pasting the users’ DNA into the game. For all intents and purposes, it was real. The computer virus infected the user. The infection begins immediately. The user is literally sucked into the game via translogical DNA reencoding algorithms. The apparent goal of the game is simple, have fun. Seeing as music was the highest form of fun, the game was designed to promote audio generation. During calibration, users are brainwashed with a super sexy track and from then on, most never want to leave.

This story follows a valiant and goofy boy called Jig. It's not a story of how he saves the universe, it's a story about saving the goddamn dimension!
