Linux Shell | Linux Tutorial

A Shell serves as an interface to the Unix system. It collects your input and performs programs based on it. When a program completes its execution, the output of that program is shown.
The shell provides an environment in which we may execute commands, programs and shell scripts. There are various varieties of shells, just as there are various flavors of operating systems. Each shell flavor has its own collection of known commands and functions.
