Science Behind the Tower Trick | Part 3 Inertia - Inertia Tower

In this fun and easy kid's science (physics) activity we use plastic cups, index cards and your own speed and technique to demonstrate Newton's First Law of Motion, also known as Newton's Law of Inertia. Use your speed to quickly removing the paper which causes the cups to fall onto each other. Newton's law says that an object at rest wants to stay at rest, while an object in motion wants to stay in motion. If you can do it with one cup, try to add more. Good luck Future Scientists!
Teachers and homeschool parents, please feel free to use these fun videos for instructional support for science standards, while promoting diversity and inclusivity in the STEM fields.
