This is probably the grandest, most luxurious park you have ever seen. The Namo Grand Central Park has finally been made available to the public.

Built at Thane, Mumbai, this park is Maharashtra’s first-ever central park. It is also touted to be one of the biggest urban parks in India. Spread over 20 acres, and hosting more than 3,500 trees, this breathtakingly beautiful park was inaugurated by the state’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday.

“This is the state’s first central park has over 3,500 trees and has been designed to accommodate more plantations that will attract various species of birds and butterflies here,” he said.

The minister also revealed that he plans to develop the park further. Replicas of the seven wonders of the world, as well as snow parks, will be built to regale visitors.

The park will reportedly generate about 8.8 lakh pounds of oxygen annually.


The Park Offers Theme Based Gardens
Currently, the park has four theme-based gardens, a fitness and play zone for kids, a large Amphitheatre that can host 400 people, an x-bridge, and a 31,000 square foot skating park that has reportedly been modelled after the iconic Hyde Park in London.

The park can accommodate about 5,000 visitors.

Details About Visitation Hours

The park will be open to visitors from 6:00 am to 11:00 in the morning and 4 pm to 9 pm in the evenings every day. It will be closed on Mondays.

There will be no entry fee for kids below the age of 15. Adults will have to pay a fee of Rs 20 on weekdays and Rs 30 on weekends. Senior citizens will have to pay Rs 15.
