Second day with new violin (#2 in Learning Violin)

First, I'm really sorry for the notes you hear in this video. It seems like practice does not make perfect any time soon with violin. This is definitely not an easy instrument to play, but I'm interested in learning to play for fun and put a beginner violin on my wishlist on amazon and just opened it today.

And while I feel like I'm following the instructions on how to hold things, when I watch the video back, it doesn't look quite right yet.

I'm planning to post daily updates as I work through the lessons, at least thirty seconds a day. Hopefully it only gets better from here.
