Up Close With the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid

Cars.com Road Test Editor Brian Normile got a chance to get a sneak peek at the new 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid ahead of its debut at the 2025 Chicago Auto Show. The new hybrid powertrain offers more power and greater fuel efficiency, and a new standard 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Changes are otherwise minimal, however, so the big questions we can’t answer yet are how much does the new Forester Hybrid cost, and how well does it drive? We’re fans of the redesigned Forester in its internal-combustion form, so this feels like more of a good thing, but we’ll have to wait and see if facts and feelings line up when we can get behind the wheel.
