US devastated: EF-2 tornado hits Florida, collapsing homes, smashing cars, knocking out power

A powerful EF-2 tornado ripped through Central Florida on Monday, destroying homes and uprooting trees as it carved a path of destruction nearly two miles long, officials said. The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado, packing winds of up to 115 mph, touched down around 9:40 am in Lake Mary and traveled northeast at 30 mph, passing through Sanford.
