On Saturday 19th April 2025, history was made just outside Beijing, as 20 humanoid robots competed in the world’s first robot half marathon – running 21km alongside humans in an incredible feat of robot endurance and robotics engineering.

Watch as advanced humanoid robots like Tien Kung – a 1.8m robot famous for climbing stairs and field testing – took on a full 21K race course, dodging puddles, handling slopes, and even recovering from breakdowns.
Only six robots crossed the finish line, showcasing real-world challenges in robot mobility, AI stability, and robotic resilience.
