Military C-17 crashes right after takeoff during airshow practice 😥😥 #crash #c-17

On July 28, 2010, a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft crashed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska during a practice flight for the upcoming Arctic Thunder Air Show. The aircraft, known for its impressive short takeoff and landing capabilities, was performing a demonstration when tragedy struck.

At approximately 6:22 p.m. Alaska Daylight Time, the C-17 took off from Runway 06 to rehearse its flight routine. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot executed a sharp right turn following an initial left turn. During this maneuver, the stall warning system activated, signaling an impending aerodynamic stall. However, instead of implementing the necessary stall recovery procedures, the pilot continued turning. The aircraft lost lift, entered a deep stall, and was unable to recover.

The C-17 crashed and exploded in a fireball approximately 2 miles (3 km) from the airfield, killing all four crew members on board. This remains the only fatal accident involving a C-17 Globemaster III.

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of adhering to flight safety procedures and stall recovery protocols. May the crew rest in peace.
