Russia supports CPEC, wants to merge it with Eurasian Economic Union project

In what could be a major blow to India, Russia has not only supported China-Pakistan economic corridor, but also shown interest in merging the project with Eurasian Economic Union project.
CPEC torments Indian foreign policy as it passes through the Gilgit-Baltistan region in Pakistan occupied Kashmir claimed by India.
Russia’s growing ties with Pakistan continues to worry Indian policy makers who have sought to isolate Islamabad on issue of Terrorism.
India may or may not complain, but it is certainly watching with eyes wide open.
