This happened a few weeks ago during one of our internal experiments.
We were testing how far we could push our AI model with a simple riddle.
So, we asked it: “What weighs more: a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?”
Most people smile, pause for a second, and say,
“Trick question—they weigh the same 😁.”
But our AI? It overanalyzed. Tried to calculate density. Searched for physical properties. And still gave the wrong answer.
That’s when it hit us that AI isn’t missing knowledge—it’s missing intuition.
It doesn’t yet know how to step back, see the bigger picture, or spot the “gotcha.”
That’s what makes abstract thinking, gut instinct, and general reasoning still so uniquely human.
That moment was a reminder. AI is brilliant at following instructions. But it doesn’t yet know how to trust a gut feeling. We’re not there yet. But the effort is real.
