愚者には見えないラ・マンチャの王様の裸　1991年初演
道化一人を従えて、夜毎に荒野をさすらう重ね着の王様。彼は『王様は裸だ！』という子供の声によって、国中の笑い者になり、今は城を追われて隠遁者となった、裸の王様だった。アンデルセンの『裸の王様』とドン・キホーテの物語をモチーフにし、理想と現実の葛藤を描いた作品。第36回岸田戯曲賞受賞作。

A fool can’t see the naked king of La Mancha premiered in 1991
A king who wears many clothes, is accompanied by a clown, and wanders the wilderness every night. He is a naked king who was told by someone's child, "The king is naked!"
After that, he became a laugher all over the country, was driven out of the castle and became a hermit.
A work that depicts the conflict between ideals and reality, with the motif of Andersen's " THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES " and Don Quijote's story.
The 36th Kishida Drama Award winning work.
