In January 2024, Noland Arbaugh underwent neurosurgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, becoming the first person to receive Neuralink’s N1 Implant as part of the PRIME Study. The brain-computer interface device allows Noland, who is paralyzed below his shoulders, to control a computer by thinking about it.
