In this video, we repair the motherboard of an Apple MacBook Air laptop.
This laptop's model is A1466.
The problem with this laptop is that it operates without a backlight on the screen.
We began the repair process by measuring the impedance on the capacitors of the main voltage line for the lighting, and we found a defect and a significant drop in the impedance of this path.
We also noticed a defect in the lighting circuit fuse.
By referring to the schematic and board view of this motherboard, we identified the most important components that could have led to this malfunction.
By injecting voltage and using a thermal imaging camera, we were able to diagnose the cause of the malfunction and repair it, as you will see in this video.
