If you’re looking for Tech Courses for beginners or Tech Courses for non tech students then you are at the right place. The importance of tech in the business world has been increasing consitently and over time it is only going to grow. Because the more you understand about tech the better your chances of leveraging it to your advantage. There are 12,000 plus courses on Coursera, 2,00,000 + courses on Udemy. How to pick the best course on Coursera or Udemy?
Some common factors such as the reviews of the course, who is teaching the course, and the university which is offering that course make a lot of difference. By looking at these common factors and what are your requirements and what you are targeting in your career as a professional are the things you need to consider moving forward before taking any course. The number of students, the price of the course, the mode of instruction or pace of it, along with the course matching your learning requirements vs not are the factors that you have to consider.
Based on these factors, Class Central has come up with all time best courses available on the internet. It is not just Coursera or Udemy but also many courses from Swayam are included in this. The research is thus pretty deep and there are other independent courses offered by universities across the world. Out of the 250 courses listed, I am recommending 3 tech courses for folks from non-tech backgrounds such as commerce, business, and so on.
Why should you do a tech course? Because these days many non-tech job descriptions also have a requirement for you to include some know-how of tech concepts before you apply. Even investment bankers are required to learn and exibit their skills in programming languages like Python. In this capitalistic world, you need to learn about technology to survive or possibly thrive.
The first course on the list is Introduciton to Computer Science and the art of programming by Harvard. This is a core course that is offered on Harvard campus as well and you can access it for free on EDx platform. The most interesting course is that it helps folks think from an algorithm perspective. The objective here is to help folks from non-technical backgrounds. The instructors are also pretty good, you should not miss this course in any case. The next course on the list is Elements of AI by Uni of Helsinki. This course is unique because it is not a video based course but totally a text based course. It will give you great insight into AI and why it is important in the modern tech world.
The last course is about Introduction to Computer science and programming using Python from MIT. It’s one of the best courses out there. You can benefit a lot by doing it.
Hope you find this video valuable, see you in the next one.
