On-Call with Dr. Jason Golbin: Interview with Dr. Shlofmitz

Catholic Health introduces “On-Call with Dr. Jason Golbin,” a new video series designed for physicians and advanced practice providers.

In each monthly episode, Catholic Health’s Chief Medical Officer speaks with our physician leaders about the system’s emerging technologies and newest clinical resources while getting a glimpse into their personal stories and the human side of compassionate care.

In this episode, Dr. Golbin interviews Dr. Richard Shlofmitz, Chairman of Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital & Center® and System Chairman of Cardiology at Catholic Health. Dr. Shlofmitz explains how St. Francis grew from a high-quality community hospital to a global leader in cardiovascular care and the plan for the St. Francis Heart Center to expand its award-winning services across Long Island. Dr. Shlofmitz also shares what it was like being on a reality TV show and why he gives every patient his cell phone.
