GE P40 Amtrak 882 is idling with the 40th Anniversary Exhibit Train on the trackage of the Sacramento Southern Railroad, which is run by the California State Railroad Museum. (Amtrak still uses head-end power on the cars.)
The second locomotive, Amtrak 406, is silent. It appears to be an an EMD F40PH, and would produce 3.000hp except that it has had the motor removed and been converted into a Non-Powered Control Unit (NPCU). Not sure why it's not on the caboose end of the train.
The train has 3 display cars, a sleeping car for staff, and a gift shop car at the end.
