Excel for Marketers🔥How to calculate date difference in years, months, days

Calculating the difference between dates can be useful when you want to analyse how long projects or campaigns have been running, how long until a deadline and much more.

To start type =DATEDIF

And then select the first date followed by a comma and your second date.

Next type in Y, M or D between quotation marks for years, months or days.

Note for days, you can also just subtract the numbers.

If the exact amount of years to the decimal place is needed, either divide the days by 365 or use the YEARFRAC function.
