AMG seriously thought people would pay over $130,000 for a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder hybrid C63.
Despite having 671 horsepower, the latest C63 S E Performance was widely criticized for being… well, soulless.
Now, Mercedes-AMG is reportedly planning a major course correction:
✅ A return to the 3.0L inline-six (M256 engine)
✅ Still possibly hybrid, but with better sound, smoother power
✅ Estimated 0-60 in 3.2~3.5 sec, with up to 670 hp and 1100 Nm
✅ And possibly the same price tag – but way more character
🔧 In this video, we break down:
• Why the 2.0L C63 failed to win hearts
• What to expect from the new straight-six C63
• How it compares to the BMW M3 and older V8 AMGs
• Predicted performance, specs, and price
💬 What do you think?
• Is AMG finally listening to the fans?
