Greenbelt, MD to Introduce Reparations in 2021 City Election Ballot

In the latest news regarding reparations, Greenbelt, Maryland is about to become the first American city to include the issue of reparations on a ballot.

Greenbelt Mayor Colin A. Byrd and city council members voted 5-to-1 to add a referendum question on the ballot of the 2021 city election. The mayor wants the council to appoint 21 members to study, develop and recommend reparations for its Black and Native American residents.
