Defense in Depth Information Security Strategy | Layered Security | Cybersecurity Education

Hey everyone! In today's video, we're going to be going over the network security concept of defense in depth, also security in depth or layered security. This will include a run-down of various security controls and how to set up your defense for success. Defense in depth is a security approach that is based upon layering different controls and having back up deterrents and defenses every step of the way. Some compare this to the defense of a castle, since castles have multiple layers of security from the water moat around the perimeter to various internal walls.
