What's Left of My Burned Forest?

A fire got away and turned into a wildfire that burned part of my forest land. Some of it got scorched pretty hot. We will go take a look at it and assess the damages, see what survived, and what might be salvageable. I have contractors working on a fuels reduction project on this forest land. They were burning slash piles and the fire got away. It's on a south facing slope and some warm dry weather dried out the fuels more than they were expecting. This is why we have to be extra careful with fire in the forest this time of year, getting close to wildfire season.
