President Park Geun－hye marked the opening of Korea′s tenth innovation center in the eastern Gangwon－do province earlier today.
As part of the President′s creative economy drive， these regional centers are connecting with the country′s conglomerates to help local SMEs and startups grow and expand overseas.
The president described big data as the new capital of the creative economy，...which can create jobs，...but only with creativity and innovative ideas.
She then vowed to set up big data portals and markets to foster the development of experts in this field.
