The Alexandria Raid was carried out on 19 December 1941 by Italian Royal Navy frogmen from the Tenth Commando Squadron, who used manned torpedoes to attack and disable two British Royal Navy battleships in Alexandria, Egypt, allowing the Italian fleet to regain control of the Mediterranean from the British fleet.
