The Takács Quartet performs the first movement of ‘Five Fantasiestucke Op 5’ by Black British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor at The Queen’s Hall to close out our digital programme At Home in partnership with abrdn.

One of the world’s most accomplished chamber ensembles, the quartet played this intimate music session during rehearsals for their 2022 concert. Their performance celebrates and revives the romanticism and colour of Coleridge-Taylor's work – one of the best-known British composers of his time who has since been all too often forgotten.
